Life can be busy sometimes. No worries, I am still here and back today going to share one of my current projects with you.

For the last couple of month I have been facilitating a community arts project supported by the local council. The idea of the project is to use the the ancient craft of felt making to build bridges between different generations by creating together and engaging with others.

In this first stage of the project I ran several workshops teaching basic felt making techniques, creating felted circles in vibrant colours and different sizes. There is one last felt workshop to go in two weeks time, after that I am getting into the planning phase of the final installation.

So far it has been an incredible journey, being challenged by teaching people of different age groups within the same workshops, but very rewarding to see their excitement about the newly learnt techniques and achievements. I have experienced some wonderful connections being made, stories being told. Oh and yes we had lots of fun!

I am looking forward to the next phase and will keep you posted.
